Hi, I’m Will.
I’m a motion designer based in Portland, Oregon.
Before motion design, I earned my stripes as a jack-of-all-trades. Studying cartography at UCLA taught me how to make complicated information easy to digest at a glance. Building high-end wooden furniture taught me to sweat the details: measure twice, cut once. And troubleshooting credit card readers at a fintech company taught me that there’s always a solution if you’re kind, patient, and curious.
For me, motion design is the most powerful form of visual communication. It allows me to make complicated ideas clear. There are endless possibilities, but just as many constraints. It’s all about finding the solutions that make everything click.
Off the clock, I’m probably playing frisbee with my dog, Cowboy.
